DIMITRIS KOTSAKIS
ENDLESS JOURNEY
New Release
Released digitally by Protasis Music
The third personal album by composer Dimitris Kotsakis, titled "Endless Journey," is now available through Protasis Music — a concept album that transports listeners to physical and imagined landscapes, through an inner soundscape filled with imagination, sensations, and the light of Greece.
An album that balances between melody and silence, inviting the listener on a timeless journey without a set destination.
Words from the Composer:
"I composed these pieces inspired by the fantasy of a journey through natural landscapes, into the unknown, with an unknown expiration date."
Biography:
Dimitris Kotsakis was born in 1976 in Athens and grew up in Neapoli, at the foothills of Lycabettus Hill. He pursued brief studies in graphic design and computer science.
From a very young age, he showed a deep interest in music. In addition to taking piano lessons, he studied electronic organ at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory for five years, further refining his technique through personal study and practice.
His earliest musical influences included Mikis Theodorakis, The Beatles, and German Christmas carols. However, his most significant inspirations came later, particularly through the rich tradition of Greek music.
An integral part of his creative force is the Greek natural landscape, from which he draws strength, serenity, and optimism. His great passions remain mathematics and cycling.
