Sto Telos tou Hronou (At the end of time)
New song by Miltos Pavlou

Miltos Pavlou and Protasis Music present his new song, titled Sto Telos tou Hronou – a modern elegy on the human condition.

Beginning with the story of a couple, the song extends its reflections to the broader society and the crushing challenges it faces.

Through a personal descent into a dark emotional landscape, the song addresses the social and political dystopias of our time — a world “that is dying… and doesn’t understand.”

It speaks of what “held us” and what “wounded us”… “but we deeply loved,” referring to the journey of love and the struggles of humanity — our visions, rational passions, and hard-won achievements.

It evokes the faded memories of greatness and transcendence — personal and collective — seen through the eyes of those who may have lost them, yet remain epizisantes ("survivors") after a profound and foundational crisis, like the one humanity faces today.

It brings us face to face with “unanswered questions” that, as aposynagoga, will dissolve into silence — “in human judgments” and “in the calendars of forgetting.”

By acknowledging and seeking the causes and meaning of the Telos, it powerfully — almost pleadingly — urges us to confront and answer the essential questions:
For society and our human community.
For our individual and collective future.
For the reason and path of our existence.

And it suggests we do so as a soul that journeys — “and keeps searching” — to understand the world, to find rest, and ultimately, to be loved.

Lyrics Excerpt (translated)

I’ll see you at the edge of the road
At the end of time
I’ll watch you picking violets and cosmic flowers
From the dreams we spent the night in
Eyes shut tight, we held on, and saw the dawn

Together we’ll watch a world burning
Human works, idols, bridges collapsing
The palace we built shrinks, falls, and burns
And if we survived... all that’s left is ash and faded memories

In the clearing of epiphotisi
We’ll see, we’ll understand, and let go
What held us, what strained us, and what we deeply loved

The soul travels on, always searching to see the hidden
To learn the world, to understand, to rest, to be loved
And the questions… sealed, incomprehensible, aposynagoga

Uninvited they’ll come again to find you
To take, to give, to unlock
To fulfill or save you
And unanswered, they’ll vanish in silence

Again uninvited they’ll come to find you
In a world that is dying and does not understand
In silence, they’ll fade
In the judgments of humans, in the calendars of forgetting
They’ll be filed away – unanswered

In a world that is dying and does not understand
In silence they’ll be lost
